What is LED Phototherapy (PBM)

Photobiomodulation (PBM), also known as LED phototherapy or low-level light therapy (LLLT), is a non-invasive treatment that uses specific wavelengths of visible red and near-infrared light to stimulate natural cellular activity.

As the light penetrates the skin, it is absorbed by the cells’ mitochondria – the structures responsible for producing cellular energy. This increases the production of ATP (adenosine triphosphate), helping support biological processes associated with:
